Membership Information

Our membership process can be rigid, however we believe our process enables us to identify the best Blaze Advisor resources, and thus maintain our reputation as a reliable and trustworthy organization.

The following list provides an overview of our process, and although indicative of the process, it does not include all of the steps that a candidate must potentially take toward becoming a member of SABAP:

  1. Candidate makes a formal request for membership by sending an email to the alliance (membership@sabap.org).
  2. The alliance assigns a member to the candidate to serve as a sponsor throughout the candidacy process.
  3. The sponsor coordinates the membership process, which includes:
    • Gathering candidate documentation, minimally including:
      1. Professional resume
      2. Blaze Advisor project history including customer, roles, responsibilities and contributions
      3. Professional writing sample - technical documentation, business rule analysis docs, etc.
      4. Implementation of a sample use case (use case provided by the alliance)
    • The alliance admission board determines if the candidate has satisfied the minimal membership requirements, and determines the potential membership level for the candidate.
    • When all admission requirements have been satisfied, one or more members will conduct a formal telephone interview with the candidate.
    • Members conduct a formal vote on the admission of the candidate.
    • If all members approve, the sponsor communicates the intention of the alliance to offer membership.
    • A specific date will be given to the candidate indicating when the membership becomes active.

If membership is not approved, the sponsor will remain available to work with the candidate to fulfill a set of activities and create a time line to prepare the candidate for membership in the future.
