Who is SABAP?

The Strategic Alliance of Blaze Advisor Professionals (SABAP) is group of credible, experienced individuals and companies who have come together for the common goal of promoting, producing and maintaining an exemplary level of consulting services for our client base.

SABAP members share similar beliefs in providing high quality consulting services.

  • We believe in the importance of providing experienced, responsible and trust-worthy consulting services.
  • We believe in, and understand the adverse impacts to projects when the goals of the client are not the first priority.
  • We believe in continually enhancing our skill sets.
  • We believe in a community-based approach for implementing the best possible solutions for our clients.
  • We believe in the importance of standards, best-practices and usage guidelines for achieving best-in-class, maintainable and scalable solutions.
  • We believe in the importance of peer review for the purposes of ensuring a degree of quality and adherence to best practices.
  • We believe in collaborating with trust-worthy and experienced consultants who share similar beliefs.

Our overall goals are:

  1. Provide best-in-class services and solutions for Blaze Advisor implementations
  2. Leverage a strong network of seasoned and knowledgeable consulting professionals
  3. Maintain competitive, fair monetary rates commensurate to the skills and experience of the members

Membership Types

SABAP is comprised two types of Blaze Advisor Professionals.

Professional Member

A Professional Member is an employee of a company whom is currently architecting, analyzing, developing or maintaining a business rules project. A Professional Member has been invited to join the alliance either by a level three Consulting Member or by one of the SABAP founding members.

Consulting Member

A Consulting Member will have between three to ten years of practical experience in the business rules field. This individual will be operating as a consultant and will uphold the ideals of SABAP which include a senior level of business rules knowledge and a high standard of ethical behavior.

Professional obligations

  • Members must maintain an above average current working knowledge of Blaze Advisor development and deployment tools.
  • Members must adhere to best-practices for developing and deploying Blaze Advisor rule repositories.
  • Members must maintain a successful track record and satisfactory project performance with their clients, proven through project completion surveys and performance questionnaires.
  • Members must maintain an up-to-date resume of current skills and experience. The resume must be made available to all alliance members.
  • Members must possess an above average current working knowledge in a minimum of one development and deployment technology (Java, .NET, EJB, etc).
  • Members are required to contribute a minimum of one technical document per year, detailing functionality, features, strategy or a solution.
